While this is tolerable in some situations, if the place that you’re not getting good reception is in your home or office, then that becomes a problem that you really need to fix, otherwise you risk missing important calls, dropping a call during a critical conversation or not having reception during an emergency. In this guide, we’re going to discuss what causes a weak cell phone signal, poor reception, and dropped calls.
Then we discuss what a cell phone antenna booster is and how one can be used to amplify your cell phone signal, improve reception, and eliminate dropped calls. What Causes Poor Reception? There are typically two main causes of poor reception , either you’re at the edge of your carrier’s coverage area, or the materials used in the construction of the building that you’re in are preventing a clear signal from reaching you. There are also situations where these two causes act together to cause reception problems and dead zones too.
Edge of a Coverage Area Cellular carriers provide cell coverage by setting up cell towers to broadcast and receive cellular calls from their customers. These cellular towers are strategically placed to provide coverage to the greatest number of potential customers. Unfortunately, the further you are from a tower, the less signal strength you’ll receive, which means that there are large areas that get very weak signal which isn’t strong enough to make or receive a call.
We’ll discuss in the next section how a cell phone antenna booster can help in this situation. Construction Materials Recently, there have been significant advancements in construction materials for homes and buildings, which help with energy conservation, reducing health risks, and more. One downside of these advancements, though, is that many of these new construction materials end up blocking cell phone signals from entering the building.
Many people then find themselves in the situation where they get good signal outside of the house but lose their call when walking into their brand new home.

The listings below presently include all parks reported to us including those at which we’ve stayed that offer some type of high speed connection for overnight guests. Usually, but now always, this will be a wireless connection. And in some cases the signal may reach only a portion of the park. We do not include parks that offer high speed connections only to long term guests. It is our intention to include below ONLY those parks that offer a free service.
We invite readers or park owners to advise us of parks offering such services so that we can include them here. RV parks offering fee-based wireless service can be found by looking at the campground listings posted by the various wireless providers. Imagine being “online from Chicken”! Polk Somebody recently asked me what I enjoyed the most about RVing. It didn’t take long for me to respond that it was the people you meet at the campground. I don’t know of anywhere else that you can meet complete strangers and within a couple of hours feel as if you’ve known them forever. People at campgrounds are some of the friendliest most helpful people you will ever meet.
I have seen it time and again when a camper pulls in and they are having problems with something and their next door neighbor, whom they never met, is right there to assist them. I have also observed and assisted several campers who were new to RVing and not really sure how to set their unit up when they arrive at the campground.

Technical Questions How long of a coaxial cable can I use? As a general rule, you do not want to exceed 50 feet of coaxial cable including RV wiring between the receiver and antenna, since power is being transferred as well. Any longer than 50 feet may result in a loss of signal quality, and in some cases complete signal loss. Can I go through my RV wiring? RV wiring varies from one to the next, so we cannot guarantee it will work by going through your RV wiring although many do.

Tired of lugging an extra propane tank around just for your BBQ?
Which one you choose depends on whether your BBQ has a pressure regulator or not. Typically, most BBQs will have a pressure regulator so you can connect the supply hose to the RV either way, that is, directly to the propane tank or after the the RV pressure regulator. If your BBQ does not have a regulator, then you must connect your supply hose to the low pressure side of the RV propane distribution hose or pipe.
This is done by inserting a tee in to the supply line and fitting a quick disconnect valve to the tee. Then you fit a quick disconnect male fitting to the end of the BBQ supply hose and connect the hose to the quick disconnect valve.
